SmartTree for sustainability IT solutions company, Growback

Growback, developed their SmartTree concept to monitor growing conditions and maintenance requirements for trees and gardens for a Western Sydney Council.

“Parks and gardens are a fantastic asset for councils, but also a great cost. Ultimately not maintaining them properly costs even more,” says Growback MD, John Connolly.

“I knew we needed to keep costs to a minimum for local councils to be interested in the SmartTree idea.

Thanks to Pairtree we were able to use a combination of Sigfox and LoRaWAN digital soil probes and weather sensors that were 10% the cost of others on the market, so we could afford to use more of them for more accurate & localised data and still keep costs down.

We commissioned Pairtree to develop the interface so our client could access the data in real time and in an easy to read format – saving them time and money.
